The Kunsthalle Friart Fribourg is dedicating a major retrospective to Bernhard Schobinger, highlighting 50 years of his visionary work. As a central figure in the goldsmith's revolution, he combines precious metals and precious stones with industrial waste in his "material democracy", questions artistic hierarchies and celebrates the interplay of opposites. The exhibition brings together works full of experimentation and poetics – including ten loans from our collection.
