The Vereinigung Zuger Privileg came to us with the idea of a container exhibition at the Stierenmarkt, which we are now realising in cooperation. Paintings and drawings by the Swiss animal painters Ernest Biéler (1863-1948), Joseph Klemens Kaufmann (1867-1926), Johann Rudolf Koller (1828-1905) and Albert Lugardon (1827-1909) are on display at the Kunsthaus Zug mobil with depictions of cattle, cows and bulls. They are on loan from private collections and from the Swiss Confederation. The Bernese artist Balthasar Burkhard contributes a photograph of a cow in order to create a contemporary reference to art. The Zuger Privileg is writing its own original short texts for the exhibition.
