Ginny has a quiet life at the “Le Chat” animal shelter – until Aka, an intern, arrives and forces her to confront her own uncertain roots. A search begins. Louisa Merten’s award-winning debut novel “Hundesöhne” raises questions about roots and about the relationship between humans and animals – themes that also resonate in “The Tennis Game”. These parallels will be explored in depth during a reading, followed by a discussion that will reveal new connections.
